via Daily Prompt: Swarm

The festival ain’t to be organized,

Decided it was,

Shortage of funds,

Reason it was,

The little girl heard it all,

Saddened by it, she was,

Something need to be done,

Planned it was,

Swarmed in with one and all, at the village square

Confident she was,

Slogans raised, Arguments  made,

Chaos it was,

Will the festivities ever happen?

Confused, she was.

Colored ribbons, sugar candy, merry go round,

Dreaming she was.

Will never give up hope,

Persistent,she was.

Let’s pool in funds, somebody yelled,

Hopeful,she was.

Yes, yes echoed all,

I shall cook, you shall clean, let’s do it, agreed it was.

Speakers blaring, “The festival to be held”,

Announced it was,

Back in her house, awaiting morrow,

Happy she was.
