Cycle of life

The early rays of dawn,

Brought with it a vigor,

Layer by layer,

From near & far,

A twig from here,

A branch from there,

Leaves and rags aplenty.

Not stopping for a bite,

Or to sip a drink,

Layering with care,

Weaving with love.

As the sun ,

Began the downward journey,

Testing his piece,

Admiring its beauty,

A look of satisfaction manifold,

Awaiting his call,

The mother pigeon,

In time to hatch Later,

On the masterpiece of a nest,

Customized by her mate,

For their young one,

The cycle of life,

Yet again ready to rotate.
