It was a tiny community, located at the foothills of the mountains. No disturbances from the chaotic world.
They were excited about the upcoming festival. Every year, during the month of October after the rain Gods shower to their fill, the community celebrates this Thank You ceremony in honor of nature. A week long celebration ensues. Sweets are made, decorations are put up, and nobody has any time for anything else.
Finally, the much anticipated week arrived. They gathered at the river to pay their obeisance. The folk were in a fervent state.
What a sight beheld them, a dog was caught in the current of the river. Not knowing what to do to save it, they frantically searched for help. Just about then, another dog came bouncing. It threw a piece of cloth for the dog to hold and using it as a grip pulled the first one to safety. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, and applauded. That’s when someone in the crowd said, Helping hands(in this case paws) are better than praying lips.

This story is inspired by the various videos I see(at times, even in real) of animals helping other animals and also humans.
