Showers of rain

Showers of rain,

Dripping, making its way on the parched earth, that was so full of pain,

A joy of whoop,

From humans, of all age group,

Animals, earlier hiding from the scorching sun,

Were not to be outdone,

Dancing in joy, greeting like a long lost friend,

Plants swaying in ecstasy, this is the poem I penned,

Blanket of stars,

Giving way to showers of joy, that seemed ever so scarce.
