What money can buy

PHOTO PROMPT © Sandra Crook

It was that hour of the day again, Anand spent it gazing at the all impressive hotel by the sea. But he was wary of the guards with big moustache who seemed vigilant. It was his dream to avail a ticket to this place and participate in its richness and splendour.

Today was that special day. He wanted to treasure each moment spent there.

Everything was grand and sparkling clean, receptionists greeting with rehearsed smiles and panache. The grandeur of laughter, affection and warmth was unknown here. True, money can buy a ticket but not happiness.

  1. Indeed true. I’ve met many rich, but extremely unhappy people in my time. I’d rather be poor, thank you. Times get tough, yes, but we do have the advantage of know what is truly important in life.
