This week’s photo prompt is provided by Pamela S. Canepa. Thank you Pamela for our photo prompt!
She was juggling too many things. Newly married, she had to manage the household chores(which she never had to worry about at her mother’s place), a professional course that she didn’t want to forsake, a job at a new place and most of all a new city.
Now, a new city, is no big deal, most of us would wonder, but adjusting to new people, new culture, new environs is a task in itself.
Her “illness” had been playing spoilsport for most part of the year. Fatigue, lack of sleep was the price she paid to be on top of things.
Certain feelings could be shared with a partner, but one cannot except the other to comprehend the enormity of emotions we face in our life. Deciding to spend some time with herself, she took up this trek. The trees brought back the scent of eucalyptus oil in her mother’s cupboard. That oil was the cure to all their childhood ailments.
I’m one with nature, I’m with my mother,”illness” vanished.

Wonderful story Kitty! I know so well that feeling of trying to be “superwoman” only to feel overwhelmed and a failure. Having a place to go to to get your prespective right is critical!

Yes, sometimes, we need to just get away from it all. Nothing like a good hike to melt away the fatigue and weariness of city life.

I think many illnesses have their root in anxiety, frustration, and fear. Certain oils and other substances, as well as getting to a peaceful place (figuratively or literally) can remediate them.
