Not yet

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Footy and Foodie. Thank you for our photo prompt!

New dawn means different things to different people. New beginnings, new aspirations, new hopes, new life, new sentiments.

Yet to some others it signifies finality of sorts. Prakash, college topper in the seventies securing his place in a company (during the period when education, jobs were hard to come by) made his way slowly up the echelons of the organisation. Rightfully so, he treasured the value of time, money and the good things life offered for he was a self made man.

His craze for automobiles was well known amongst his circle, personally taking care to maintain each one well. Looking at the array of cars, he never hoped for this day. They were in attendance of his wife’s( his partner of forty years)funeral. At almost the same time, his help ran joyfully announcing the birth of a grand-daughter       (His daughter had welcomed a new life).

He remembered her words well, form may be different, love will remain the same.

~160 words.

Acknowledgements :- Thank you PJ for running the challenge. The challenge is to write in about 150 words (+/- 25 words) a story based on the picture prompt. For guidelines please refer here. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
