The table was laid. Well embroidered pristine cloth handed over from one generation to the next, the crockery and cutlery in order, the silverware gleaming after being polished.

The mouth watering dishes neatly arranged one by one, ready to be served.

Their 10th wedding anniversary and he had promised to take her on a vacation. Prior work commitments, didn’t permit him to.

Evening turned to night, blue sky turned dark, he wasn’t back home, his phone switched off.

Taking a torch, she went out to look for him.That was his car, and a beautiful lady stepped out.

10 years and what she knew of him?
