Generations

The thread of life,

Always evolving,

One generation to the next,

It would not be just,

To transfer dreams, aspirations of one to next,

That which are a fad in one, would turn irrelevant in another,

Neither would it be just,

To blame the previous generation, for not providing enough,

That within their means would always be provided,

It’s for both of them to co-exist,

One, who have created and reared,

And other, who are the torch- bearers,

It’s for each other to marvel, correct flaws when needed,

None to fault or point fingers,

For they are the images of each other,

As they say, “Blood is thicker than water”,

From one came the other,

A hope for generations to follow,

Ensuring the thread continues.
