Fill void spaces,

With warm, friendly pages,

Fill emptiness of absence,

With sheer presence,

Fill ignorance of understanding,

With knowledge commanding,

Fill thoughts of fear,

With vision, Oh! so clear,

First, empty that’s unnecessary,

To fill the necessary,

Undo, to do,

Dreams come true.

Acknowledgements :- In response to Quadrille # 97. The word of the week is fill and we have to write a poem using the word in exactly 44 words. For rules please refer here. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.

  1. So often we reply to the Quadrille with free verse, makes it easier to fit the 44 word constraint. I enjoyed the cascade of lovely rhyming couplets, well thought out, skilled to fit within two different rooms. “Undo, to do.” That is my life now, and it is overwhelming, all the little and large strands unraveling, but in going through this, I am able to breathe, to do. Dreams do come true.
