Realisation dawns

P.C :- Sue Vincent

I pour through pages of every book,

I sieve through each nook,

I search for gems at every corner,

Failing to look within, I only ponder,

Darkness of ignorance, ameliorate*,

I just don’t watch and wait,

Realisation dawns,

I understand, I hold my life’s pawns**.

45 words.

Ameliorate * :- Making something unsatisfactory, better. ( Meaning courtesy :- Google )

Holding my life’s pawns**:- I mean, I hold my life’s reigns.

Acknowledgements :- Thank you Sue Vincent for running the challenge at #writephoto. The challenge is to write a piece with inspiration drawn from the photo. For rules please refer here. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
