Chilli tea, anyone?

On an impulse to try something different,

At a chai(tea) shop,

A tad different from regular flavours of,

Cardamom, masala, ginger, tulsi, pepper,

Hari Mirchi Chai* from the menu caught my fancy,

More of excitement than apprehension hurried through my veins,

The first sip,

Nothing different from regular,

The hot spicy flavours, took its time to sink in,

But when it did,

Each gulp,

A fiery punch from the last,

Soothing the winter chills,

The last drop,

Left me,

Craving for more.

83 words.

Hari Mirchi Chai* :- Green Chilli Tea.

P.S :- This poem is inspired from a visit to Chaayos ( Tea Shop) sometime in December, 2019. The hot Hari Mirchi Chai (Green chilli Tea) soothed the winter chills. Thank you Chaayos.
