Celebratory morrow

P.C :- Sue Vincent

As one yesterday,

Now we are separated,

Unknown friends fly by,

Wistfully, eyes gaze for warmth,

Celebratory morrow.

Poetry form :- Tanka (5/7/5/7/7 syllables).

Thoughts behind the Tanka :- Often ,when I gaze at the sky in the evening , I see flocks of birds ( I assume, they are migratory ) flying together to their destination. More often than not, I catch sight of a single bird separated from the group and pushing itself to fly back to its group. Many a times I’ve wondered whether the bird which has strayed has gone back to its group or not. This Tanka is written from that separated bird’s perspective. The bird’s longings and aspirations.

Acknowledgements :- Thank you Sue Vincent for running the #writephoto challenge. For rules please refer here. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
