Rosy crust,
Gathering dewy dust,
As season fades,
Life’s mysterious shades,
Emerges,
Submerges,
If only, life like various seasons,
Traversing other reasons,
Grows,
And regrows,
What is it to be infinite,
Rather than its present state of finite?
Like a phoenix rising,
After much needed downsizing,
Greenery of spring,
Optimism bring,
Severity of summer,
Spreading warmth bumper,
Bountiful, colourful, juiciness of mangoes, melons, homemade squash,
Fatigue awash,
Green turning to vibrant gold,
Earth decked in all her finery, bold,
The falling leaves,
Symbolising end or beginning, whatever the mind believes,
Wintry chills,
Engulfing alike, plain, plateau, hills,
Preparing for yet another year,
Holding the one gone by, dear,
As the fairy lights of Christmas glow,
Beckoning to their side, fairies in my garden waiting to show,
Finite,
To infinite,
Indulge me in their secret would they?
Divulging, they’d lose sway,
Was all that a hallucination,
Or a grand proposition?

Thoughts behind the poem :- The various colours on the lady’s face in the picture caught my fancy, and got me thinking. What is it to grow, re-grow like the different seasons and not just vanish from face of the Earth. Would the fairies in my garden divulge their secret?
