The stars transcending their time,

Waltz during middle of the day,

Their brightness outshining my mediocracy,

I question them,

Why have you appeared at this time of day?

They collectively smirk at my ignorance,

Retorting, you chose to see us now,

Assuring they’ve been here all the while,

They seem to part,

Oops!!! They never do,

Slipping through sieves of my mind,

Their presence flutters like omnipresent time.
