Lost hands

P.C :- Reena’s Exploration Challenge

The skyscrapers of today,

Take a bow to the masterly architectural wonders of yore,

Brick by brick,

Flawless intricate designs that’s beyond imagination,

Crafted by those hands of magical precision,

Elicits awed exclamations.

Leaving behind their designs of wonder,

Cradles of civilisation,

Have evolved, survived, perished through tests of time,

Their legacy of creation still remains a testament,

Monuments that’d question precision of modern gadgets,

The magic in their hands

Created wonderstruck works of art,

When robots replace modern day man,

Magical hands cease to be?

Unprecedented victory of automation?

Awe dismantled.

  1. The poem is brilliant, metaphors meticulous and execution perfect. The theme reminds me of Fountainhead by Ayn Rand where the female protagonist says she is not inspired by nature, but architecture. If there is s threat to the city’s skyline, she would protect it with her body sprawled on top of it.
