Yay!!!!

Carols,

Decorations,

Winter magic sets in,

Santa Claus is coming to town*,

Christmas.

Poetry form :- Cinquain (2/4/6/8/2 syllables)

Santa Claus is coming to town* :- I was reminded of this song we used to sing in school. You may listen to it here.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021.

Thoughts :- Writing this cinquain took me back to my school days. We used to eagerly look forward to Christmas festivities. The whole school would be decked up in bright colours, and we used to await the arrival of Santa, each year it’d be a different teacher dressed up as Santa. We would be given gifts and Christmas also meant end of exams and start of holidays. So all the more fun and excitement.

Acknowledgements :- Thank you Colleen. M. Chesebro for running this challenge and providing this wonderful prompt. The prompt was ” Holiday traditions”. For rules please refer here. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
