Ways surround

The right way,

I see none, even in light of the day,

I plead destiny for advice, she cackles,

I bargain with hope to show some light, she denies,

I gather confidence and move,

There wasn’t a wrong way in the first place!

I lost my way,

Riding on myriad dreams, unfulfilled,

Like a bird, reaching skies,

Like a horse, galloping freely,

Like a tree, standing tall,

I wanted to be,

I lost my way,

Driving to be everything, anchor less,

Like myself, I failed to be.

Two quadrilles of 44 words each.

  1. Kitty, that first one especially resonates for me. How many times I’ve gone through it. Somebody said, “Move and the universe moves with you.” We weren’t made clueless it’s just that we forget sometimes… You’re welcome on the hosting. Wonderful response to the prompt.

The flowers of the fiction plant rooted in my brain, the voice of the inexpressible feelings hidden in my heart and the eruption of the theories burning in my mind– I made a ball out of the three, threw it high into the sky and it landed right at my blog.
