The rains have stopped

The rains have stopped as abruptly as they have started,

I sense a play of my imagination,

Leaving a void :

Of all that has been promised but denied,

Denied at very end :

Is it disappointment that I experience,

Or I know this is how it’ll end : a bouquet of void?

The leaves don’t rustle much as they normally do,

A tiny raindrop pelts down forcefully from leaves that don’t rustle,

Withering hope, from a heavy heart,

Pelting down forcefully,

The rains have stopped as abruptly as they have started.
