Unlike the passing clouds

Under the frigid rays of moon where I lie and count the stars,

Forgetting the days while you’ve been a pillar of my strength,

Your truthfulness holds a mirror to my conscience,

I remember only the trivial errors which could be discounted like passing clouds,

Yet I hold on to them like piercing wind,

A sliver of truth dawns,

While the Sun rises impartially from the East, everyday, day after day,

Your truthfulness holds a mirror to my conscience,

Unabashed by the piercing winds,

Unmoved by the passing clouds,

Untouched your truth stands tall,

Unwavering.
