You linger

From many a dream, I wake up,

Oddly lingering on my consciousness-

vivid recollection of your characteristic scent-

I treasure possessively,

my wakeful moments whizz like a breeze,

While my quiescent state stays by,

holding on –

you are gone,

Sublimely entering threshold of my lifeless mortal being.
