Wanderlust

Boughton, George Henry; The Lady of the Snows; Walker Art Gallery;ย http://www.artuk.org/artworks/the-lady-of-the-snows-97671

wild petunias cuts chase on
a frosty winter day
blossoming
in a reverie ,carries dawn
past icy sombre ray
frothing

yet as a dream connoisseur, she
takes wisps of wanderlust
buried
heavily in confinement’s quay
gathering strands of dust
harried

Poetry form :- Memento ( 8/6/2/8/6/2 syllables with a/b/c/a/b/c rhyme scheme)

  1. Flowers in snow are most inspiring. The daffodils are often covered in early spring, yet they keep on blooming!
I love your last stanza of the petunias buried in confinement!

    1. Your rhyme scheme was a bit surprising for me. I read yours as abc abc…def def.

I thought the rhyming should carry throught to both verses.
