Midnight Awakening

Canon, KL Caley

And then light chose to lead the way,

Clearing midnight clouds,

And sun rose in wee hours of midnight,

erasing clouds of darkness.

A precious gift denied for long,

A battle fought so hard,

A noise of disquiet curbed so deep,

A dream that was imprisoned in heartland of home,

finally released.

where yesterdays couldn’t be as same as tomorrows,

where newborns could breath fresh air of freedom,

where patience paved way for perseverance,

where melodies were heard through lush green fields again,

My country gained what she deserved,

A sense of self,

Independence.

  1. Very nicely done, Kitty. The last line – Independence – could be a little controversial for where this photo was taken. Thank you for contributing another marvellous #writephoto post. KL ❤
