A tiny speck among the infinity,
Wanders away obscure among the known,
Imprisoned in visible shades of familiarity,
He walks on and on tirelessly tied to the shore,
What he sees are confined within realms of certainty,
He recounts only familiar tales of surety,
Bound by an unseen hand to reality,
He walks on and on tirelessly tied to the shore,
Through and through amongst known he aimlessly roams,
Falling prey to selfish chasms,
Attached from within to everything in sight,
He walks on and on tirelessly tied to the shore,
With a new day dawning he starts a life among known now for himself,
Free fall to a point of no return,
Bounces back to a champion’s welcome,
He walks on and on tirelessly unconfined to the shore.
Words :- 129
Thoughts :- We often find comfort only in the known, neglecting to explore our desire and potential, we fall back.
Acknowledgements :- I’m glad, the two prompt challenges that I was writing to earlier are back again.
Thank you Sue Vincent for hosting the #writephoto challenge and providing the photo. Thank you Eugenia for hosting the Eugi’s Weekly Prompt Challenge and providing the prompt word, “dawning”. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
The joy of being free beautifully expressed. Thanks for joining in.
