Life grows

P.C :- Glenn A. Buttkus’s (SOUTH SOUND MINIMALIST PHOTOS); dVerse

Life finds itself to grow without any interference, without any help,

A creeper finds its hold amongst many trees and shrubs around,

Trees laden with fruits grow into trees again,

I am not languishing,

I am dormant,

If not eaten by a squirrel, pigeon, sparrow or man,

I shall grow into a plant again,

Till such time,

My fruits in lap of nature,

A part of creation, as special as creation itself,

I am not languishing, I am dormant.

Green Tomato Plant:

“Juicy tomatoes thrive in the Northwest, first as green goblins, then as love fruit.” (Glenn A. Buttkus)

  1. This is such a strikingly beautiful poem! I especially like; “My fruits in lap of nature, a part of creation, as special as creation itself.” Yes! Thank you so much for writing to the prompt 💝💝

  2. I remember as a kid who thought of tomatoes as vegetables, having difficulty thinking of them as fruit. This ode to nature’s resilience, and love letter to tomatoes is wonderful; thanks.
