Her house cat was whining for its mother.
She didn’t pay much attention to its cries as the mother cat had a habit of disappearing for long spans of time before it returned.
All of a sudden the cries grew intense and she sensed something else was the matter.
She realised the cries were more of birthing cries rather than longing for its mother.
Easing her cat from pain, she eagerly awaited the birth of generation next.
Circuit of life continues, always.

Welcome to Six Sentence Stories!
As with our fellow humans, there is a distinction in an animal’s voice/expression between the “normal” and “hey! something else is going on here” voice, that is not difficult to detect. (if one is listening)
Without doubt, there is pain during the birthing process, whether that birthing is literal or metaphorical.
Engaging Six.
Intentional or not, you’ve steered me towards the philosophical as I begin my day π

welcome to one of the most challenging of bloghops left in the ‘sphere!
always good to have a new writer participate in the Six Sentence Story. (For me, this ‘hop is as much about practice and learning the word-slinging as it is a time for fun and diversion*.)
Nice rhythmn to your words, and pulls a Reader in from the start.
See you next Six!
* not that I don’t have fun and divert myself each week, but I also like to figure out how the others manage the excellent story-telling as they do.
