Dreams

Cattle Egrets enjoying after first shower of the year

For,

The first,

Time, after,

A long, tiring,

Wait, touching the parched,

Earth, rejoicing, showing,

Her appreciation in,

Pleasing multifarious forms,

New blooms, thirst quenched egrets, peacock’s dance,

As the first raindrops kisses the dry Earth.

Aspirations, fulfilment, ushers she,

Hope, an assurance that dreams can be,

Woven, crafted, intertwined with,

Reality, not only,

Shall they be fortunate,

Coincidences,

With zeal and drive,

They can turn,

Into,

Truth.

  1. Such a beautiful picture and the egrets enjoying the first showers. Here in Mumbai we were going to have showers but they turned to Pune and created havoc there yesterday and here we are all hot and humid. Nice and lovely poem, Kitty.

      1. Welcome Kitty and the rain was going to come in Mumbai but went to Pune where they created so much havoc, storms and rain. Bangalore must be now free of quarantine. Mumbai we are yet under lock down till May 17th.
