Picturing her life to be full of woes,
She spent her days,
Only when she realised,
Her innate strength she rose,
Indebted to darkness,
Which helped her showcase her light.
Poetry Form:- Gogyohka ( A short poem based on Japanese Tanka, it can have either 4,5 or 6 lines with no restrictions on number of words or syllables used).
Thoughts :- Often, the obstacles we face make us lose our confidence, until the same obstacles pave way to realise our strength. This darkness (difficulties ) acts as a canvas to paint our light ( strength).
Acknowledgements :- I’ve combined the Synonyms only challenge and Photo prompt challenge hosted by Colleen. M. Chesebro . The words for synonyms only challenge were Imagine & Gratitude provided by Kat Myrman. I’ve used the synonyms, Picturing & Indebted in their place. The above photo is provided by Diana Peach. Thank you all for stopping by and reading.
How lovely. The last two lines were sublime.
