Life finds itself to grow without any interference, without any help,
A creeper finds its hold amongst many trees and shrubs around,
Trees laden with fruits grow into trees again,
I am not languishing,
I am dormant,
If not eaten by a squirrel, pigeon, sparrow or man,
I shall grow into a plant again,
Till such time,
My fruits in lap of nature,
A part of creation, as special as creation itself,
I am not languishing, I am dormant.

“Juicy tomatoes thrive in the Northwest, first as green goblins, then as love fruit.” (Glenn A. Buttkus)

Love this poem. That’s nature, looking after it’s own.

Our back yard that was so brown and dead from the drought is becoming green again thanks to the rainy season’s return. 🙂 A beautiful, thought-provoking poem, Aishwarya! ❤ Have a lovely day!

I remember as a kid who thought of tomatoes as vegetables, having difficulty thinking of them as fruit. This ode to nature’s resilience, and love letter to tomatoes is wonderful; thanks.

There are no hard and fast rules, but even when they seem to be doing nothing, plants are alive and growing. Loved your poem. Thanks for sharing. Lovely.
