Where I once lived, I know not,
Where fringes of cusp of dawn kisses salty fragrances of sea,
Where clouds clad the mountains like a snowy curtain,
Where time reaches its mighty zenith,
Where pink of sky meets purple at twilight,
Where I once lived, I know not,
Where I was a mere whisper,
Where I was just a remembrance,
Where I was a dark shadow even?
Where I was camouflaging, a reflection of self!

You have used repetition so well here, to emphasise the yearning to know ‘where you once lived’ – this embodies the mystery of where we came from, and I like the use you’ve made of alliteration and assonance in phrases such as ‘clouds clad’ – great sound-poetry!

I love the thought of a place where we came from, that faint sense of place we had known…

“where I once lived” …. referred to as the “belonging place” by the aboriginals in Australia….such a meaningful term.

“Where I was camouflaging, a reflection of self!” We keep trying to hide our real self and at the same time looking for it. Very profound, Aishwarya.
